Harley Retires to Stud

Harley, the 14-year-old KWPN mare by Clintino x Guidam, officially retires from international sport to begin her breeding career.

Competing at 1.35m FEI level with Ava Eden van Grunsven, Harley proved herself as a nice mare with consistency and a competitive mindset. She represents a proven dam line: from the same mother comes Carsey Z (Carthino Z), who jumped 5* 1.60m Grand Prix classes in Wellington with Caroline Mawhinney, and another gelding by Carthino Z currently competing at 1.55m with Noa Keller.

For her first breeding season, Harley will be covered by Aganix du Seigneur Z (Ogano Sitte x Chellano Z), one of the world’s leading sires. Aganix has competed at the highest 5* 1.60m level and is renowned for passing on blood, scope and modern reflexes. His influence continues to rise, highlighted by top-level offspring including Nikora TSH, who recently realised nearly €2 million in the market.

Grunsven Equestrian will take on an advisory and management role throughout the breeding process, overseeing strategic decisions aimed at developing the next generation of sport horses while structurally increasing the long-term investment and asset value within Harley’s genetic line.
